What do you want to change?
Your
store or business profile information?
 |
Need
to update your store contact info, logo or phone numbers? Go to the Care
Sheet page. First you must enter your store info (top right). You only need to do this once. Then, make sure you
are signed in. Once you are signed in, you should see an option on the main Care Sheets page that
says, "Change my info." Click on that link to update the information about your store. You
can register two or more stores by clicking on "Enter Another Store's Info." |
The content
of a care sheet?
 |
Please
go to the relevant section on the Forum
and create a post requesting the change. Copy the text from the care sheet you want to change. Include
it in your post. Then rewrite the text as you want to see it. This allows others to comment publicly
about your proposed change. Please include supporting references for your change, whether they are
books or internet sites. Be specific. Once the change request has been vetted, it may be incorporated
in the relevant sections, assuming it fits space requirements and follows the overall objective of the
care sheet.
Please keep in mind that there are (or will be) multiple versions
of each care sheet. We ask that if you want to make a change, you look at the different versions and
edit each one. For example, the 1-page care sheet AND the 2-page care sheet, etc. |
Create a new
care sheet?
 |
Please
go to the relevant section on the Forum
and create a post requesting the new care sheet. Please include as many expert sources with full links
as you know of to save us research time. Please also include some links to good graphics if you have
any. It's also a good idea, that in addition to the forum post, you send us an email via the Contact
page. |
The photo
on a care sheet (or web page)?
 |
The
same policy applies to change a photo as it does for changing text content. If the photo does not have
a web link, only then, please email it to
us, and we will park it on the site and make it available on the forum for discussion.

Our
criteria of a photo representing an animal or group of animals:
The photo should show the whole
animal (or as much as possible), not just the face. The photo is used for pet store employees as
well as customers to properly identify the animal as well as providing an attractive care sheet and
nice-to-use web page.
The photo should show be square
in size or slightly wider than taller. That makes the best presentation and works the best with the
format of the care sheets and web site.
The photo should show be of
good quality (resolution) and high contrast. Ideally, a light background with a
brightly colored subject is best. There should be little distraction in the background.
The photo should be larger
than 200 pixels in width so that it can be properly reduced in size.
